Camino Pocket is two things: an iPhone app and the Camino Journey web tool. They behave differently, so they are described separately. The app sends no requests of its own. The web tool does, because it needs map tiles and place search.

The app still works if you deny location permission. Moments are saved without coordinates, and you can add coordinates later on the web. For location, the app requests only When In Use authorization, never Always authorization or background location access. When you confirm the start of a trip or turn on record reminders, the app requests permission to display notifications and play sounds.
Access logs
This site is served by GitHub Pages. GitHub keeps server records of visitors' IP addresses to operate the site and respond to abuse. GitHub holds those records; we never read them. We use no visitor analytics tools or advertising trackers.
